Serigne Shouaibou Mbacké ( also called Abû Madiyana ) can be classified among these great saints and servants of God to whom Khadimou Rassoul refers to on these terms:" O pain! this sorrow which strikes my heart by the loss of eminent saints who left this world towards a Lord who called them with the delights (paradise). “The nights as well as the months cry them just as the evening and the morning with pain. ” (cf Huqqal- Buka' U:Should they be cried)

 Serigne Shouaibou Mbacké , Abû Madiyana, is the younger brother of Shaykh Abdoul Ahad Mbacké, third Caliphe of Khadimou Rassoul. Indeed, this valiant knight of Islam is an offspring of Shaykh Ahmadou Bamba; his mother is the virtuous Soxna Mariama Diakhaté. He did not ascended the caliphate, but his contribution for the popularization of Islam and the message of Khadimou Rassoul exceeds the borders of the country. This large scholar and spiritual director from his scholarship, his humility, his sagacity, his fear towards his Lord and his trustful abandonment in God, marked his people and his time. Scholar and expert out of the common, he is one of those who fully follows the Sharia Law (cf Huqqal Buka'u)

What always impressed his contemporaries was his attachment to the Sunnah and the message of Khadimou Rassoul. Many people knew him only by name but have never seen him. His photographs are also scarce. Also it is said since 1945, year of the disappearance of Serigne Muhammadu Mustapha Mbacke, first Caliph of the Murids, Serigne Shouaibou decided not to leave the Holy City of Touba never again. And since then he was more devoted to the education and training of the disciples. Regarding his knowledge, Serigne Shouaibou scholarship, vast like an ocean was acknowledged altogether by Senegalese people and disciples of other brotherhoods. The teaching of the Holy Qur’an and religious Sciences has also marked the life of Serigne Shouaibou Mbacke. Today many scholars and offspring of religious authorities attended his school, known by all for its effectiveness and rigor in the education and the training of the students. This school, until now, maintained by his illustrious sons is well known, especially in the field of pedagogy. In his lifetime, it was not rare to hear people to say: “Let’s take him to Serigne Shouaibou” speaking about a child who resisted the rigor of all the Koranic masters, because Serigne Shouaibou put all his attention and energy to encrust knowledge to beginners .However this did not prevent Serigne Shouaibou who liked being active to maintain vast farms. He was recalled to Allah (SWT) in 1991. Its mausoleum is in Daru Khudouss. The visitor who takes the road of Daru Khafur 450 m from the mosque and makes a right turn will see the Mausoleum facing 300 m northward.
